Pursuing a PhD in Islamic Studies in the West
The Prophet Muhammad PBUH Institute for Islamic Studies (PMIIS) is established to introduce students from around the world to a variety of Shia and non-Shia literature and encourage them to engage in critical thinking by adopting an academic approach to their advanced studies.
The Institute primarily consists of courses on Islamic Studies while giving you the chance to study a broad selection of related courses on Muslim society today. Courses have been designed for students from all backgrounds who plan to continue their education in a seminary or an equivalent graduate level of Islamic Studies or related disciplines.
Dr. Sayed Ammar Nakshawani will lead the courses and provide expertise in areas ranging from Qur’anic Sciences, Islamic Law, Jurisprudence, Islamic Ethics & Spirituality, as well as reflect his passion in delving deeper into Islamic History.
Upon completion of chosen courses, a selection of students will have the opportunity to be referred for an all expenses paid course in the vicinity of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (as).
